Officers don't go into schools while there is someone in there shooting the kids inside. I am NOT the least bit surprised by any of it. You just never know how someone is going to react when violent situations are unfolding. Everyone on here has convinced themselves they are going full Rambo if something happens and I can assure anyone reading this that would not be the case for likely the majority.

The Ashley Babbitt thing should be looked into. In a Bipartisan manner. If nothing else that is a failure in training including at the individual level with respect to that Officer's ability to handle serious situations for which he was trained and was not capable or follow that training.

I have a very clear picture of how officer Sally who typically rides a desk screws up and shoots someone during a routine traffic stop. Not everyone can do these jobs and keep a cool head under these conditions. In fact the reality is that very few CAN actually do it. You see it portrayed in movies where the guy is on the radio calling in artillery cool as a cucumber while taking fire. Those people exist but they are FEW and FAR. Very FAR.

I don't know. That's my thoughts there. I don't think the Ashley Babbitt thing is a good talking point for either side of this argument.
