Which one works better at keeping snakes away? I always thought the powder was better because it would burn and irritate their eyes and mouth. Then a couple of people are saying the pellets work better. I need advice from Aldeer.

Pellets. The lead kind. #8 or 9 shot is great. I agree but not in the city limits unfortunately. Neighbors don't like idea of someone defending themselves from viper with lead.

Whatever garden tool that's nearby is what I use in the city limits.
I've never used sulfur to repel snakes, but if any smell would do it that would probably be it. The powder should stink more, but also wash away/soak into the soil faster.

None of them work. My ex had tried mothballs, sulfur, and this stuff called snake-be-gone. I told her that all she was doing was attracting snakes and just get a outside cat. She didn’t believe me until she witnessed a copperhead and a black racer slither right through her barriers. Next thing I knew we had 2 outside cats. Never saw another snake. Were they there? I’m sure they were but never seen them because those cats were killing machines on the snakes food sources.

Get your eggs early and then drop some golf balls in the nests. The snakes cannot expel them and die. I've done the golf ball thing and it does seem to work somewhat but I have had a ball lay there for months while eggs keep disappearing. I think they have to get pretty chicken smelly or something before the snakes are fooled by them. No issues yet this year.
