Got ct scan results last week. The nurse that called me could only tell me there was a spot on my abdominal wall , nothing else. Had to go to general surgeon to get full results . He compared a ct from a few years ago and said it was a new thing . He said the spot was either blood pooled up or infection. In 2011 I had a hernia surgery to repair a hernia that developed after another surgery. The spot is right on the hernia which was repaired with hernia mesh. They said I tore it some time around first of year or a little before based on weight loss time line.
They are going to draw off some fluid and see what it is . If it’s blood they will just watch it to make sure it doesn’t turn into infection. If it’s infection they will have to go in and take mesh out and clean out the infection.

Well, based on some of the other things it could’ve been that were mentioned in the other thread, that sounds like a relatively good report

Glad the scan didn't find anything more serious. Did they mention why they thought you would lose 50 lbs if you torn the mesh and had a small hematoma? Sounds more plausible if you had a chronic infection. Just wondering.

Yea but blood won’t make you lose weight so not a lot of hope it being just blood. If they have to take the mesh out it can’t go back in immediately if ever . If this happens it will limit my abilities, lifting or any strenuous activities without bust hernia out again.

I too lost about 50 lbs. but it was on the Covid diet. I made it through and so far have only gained maybe one or two back. Not a fun way to lose it but my BP dropped significantly.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Man I gained a couple pounds during Covid….everything smelled and tasted like a grease soaked gym sock, but I stayed so hungry I could eat a horse the entire time.

Little update , I’m having surgery Tuesday to repair hernia mesh
Say a prayer , shouldn’t be that bad of a surgery. Just healing up after not being able to use stomach muscles a lot

I’m glad you got that checked out.
