Keep on thinking we can't loose, that's how we loose every time.
Anti ship missiles can take out our aircraft carriers, and the Navy knows it. They will be kept in the rear if we ever go to war with a country that has them. I see you're from Madison , you in the military or defense , "bomb building" industry in some capacity ? Yes, I'm a contractor in R&D. I do not talk on the forum about anything I work on, so don't take it as an expert opinion. I'm sure you don't lol Expert , don't know, lookin' like a pretty fair Debbie Downer though.

Have you or any of your family ever served in or around tank battalions since the 1980s? If so, you are entitled to compensation.

Tanks are target practice for missiles. True, but missiles can't hold ground. If you want to advance your frontlines, you need combined arms warfare. Tanks and IFV are an important part of that.

Yes, infantry and armor will always be needed to occupy enemy ground. Tanks are done. Melt them down and make helicopters, planes, carriers or even welfare cards. Until space force is capable of defeating an enemy Air Force, air power will always be the deciding factor in a major war. Of course you’ll have to knock out your enemies air defense first. Ukraine may be the last major ground war the planet will ever see between two “modern” military’s.

We have other vehicles to fill some of the gaps, that requires less logistics and support. But to do away with tanks completely? I'm not there yet, but I'm persuadable. Tell me why we don't need tanks.
