I’m seeking a hunting club in one of the following counties. Covington, Coffee, Pike, Butler, Crenshaw and Conecuh. Looking basically for a club within 1 hour of Straughn/Andalusia Alabama. I bring a lot to the table as a potential member. I have a lot of nice equipment and don’t mind using it. I have a decent amount of free time each month due to my work schedule. I will consider paying a full membership for the right opportunity in one of the above counties or I’m willing to do tractor work in exchange for turkey rights/membership. I’m low pressure as I hunt out of state and have a couple different properties in Bama I hunt. An additional property would not be my sole property to hunt. I’m simply looking for additional property to spread out the harvest as I share my other properties with other turkey hunters. My main interest would be for turkey as I like to have multiple properties for turkey season. I hunt the first few weeks of turkey season usually, then I start traveling out of state to hunt. I would like to find a place that has a good turkey population and low amount of members that turkey hunt seriously. I fully understand this is like trying to find a unicorn these days but never know until you ask. If this is a full membership opportunity, I deer hunt very little in state so I would rarely deer hunt a property. My budget would be $1500 to $2000 for a full membership. I’m not desperate to find a place as I do have options. My goal is to find someone/club that might be in need of some tractor work and has room for a turkey hunter. I want to be up front with what I looking for as to not waste your time or mine. If you have a property that meets what I’m looking for I would be interested in discussing with you in more detail. Below is equipment I have available to use. 75 HP tractor and multiple implements along with a notill drill.

I don’t have anything you’re looking for but I like that drill!! Didn’t you have a 2 row John Deere planter?

I ended up selling it due to my Illinois land owner enrolling his farm into a pollinator program. That reduce the amount of acreage I could plant. I really didn’t have much of need for one at the time. I plan to buy another one in the near future as I now have a use for one. The drill handles most of my needs for now.

Danny is still involved and has oversight of the club. I stepped away due to stress and aggravation it was causing me. To run a club of that size and ensuring it was ran properly was a plate full. It was just more than I could juggle being 2 hrs away and with my work schedule. I left it in good hands though

I am going to bump this back up one more time. I was offered one opportunity that I have accepted and believe it will be beneficial for the both of us. Since I have accepted this offer my main interest at this point would be tractor work in exchange for turkey hunting access/rights. I have availability in my free time to take on working another property for someone else depending on what the needs are. As noted above I have other places to hunt so this would not be the only place I hunt nor would I wear the place out by over hunting it. Due to my work schedule and out of state hunts I rarely hunt more than 10-14 days during the entire Alabama season. As things currently stand those days would be spread across 4 properties.
I am still looking to stay within 1 hour or so of Straughn/Andalusia area but would consider a bit further for the right opportunity.

Guys I am going to bump this to the top for the 2024 season. Some noted changes below from the original above. There is a strong possibility that I will be loosing two of my properties before the 2025 spring season and I need to attempt to replace them before next year. One is selling and the other my agreement will expire after this spring. This property could potentially still be an option but we haven't crossed that bridge yet.
’m seeking a hunting club or land in one of the following counties. Covington, Coffee, Pike, Butler, Crenshaw, Conecuh, Lowndes, Bullock and any other county not listed. I am basically looking for a club or individual with property within 1-2 hours of Straughn/Andalusia Alabama.
I bring a lot to the table as a potential member. I have a lot of nice equipment and don’t mind using it. I have a decent amount of free time each month due to my work schedule. I will I’m willing to do an agreed upon amount of tractor work in exchange for turkey rights/membership.
I’m low pressure as I hunt out of state and have a couple different properties in Bama I hunt. An additional property would not be my sole property to hunt. I’m simply looking for additional property to spread out the harvest as I share my other properties with other turkey hunters.
My interest would be for turkey only as I like to have multiple properties for turkey season. I hunt the first few weeks of turkey season usually, then I start traveling out of state to hunt. I fully understand this is like trying to find a unicorn these days, but you never know until you ask.
I want to be up front with what I looking for as to not waste your time or mine. If you have a property that meets what I’m looking for I would be interested in discussing with you in more detail. I can provide references as needed. I am a man of my word and I am very detailed when it comes to planning and executing work on a property.
For reference of equipment look at the first original post as it has most everything listed.
Please send me a PM if you have something or if you know of someone that has land that can use some help in exchange for a little turkey hunting. I can assure that you will not be disappointed in the quality of work I do and the amount of detailed planning I can offer.
