It finally dried up enough for me to break ground yesterday. The north wind really helped it dry good. Today I was able put the 2 row JD planter I built to work. I planted 6 rows of sweet corn and 6 rows of Cherokee yellow wax beans. In a few days I’m hoping to get the big patch of Jimmy Red field corn planted and a few rows of green beans. If it stays dry long enough, next week I’ll plant another patch of sweet corn and I’ll plant another the week after we get back from Sonora. Sure was nice to finally get to play in the dirt.

Man where yall at. I really want to start getting my summer stuff in, but I just don't think ground temp is there yet. I’m way down in the SW corner of Louisiana. About 25 miles from the gulf.
