I’ve never seen a local chapter actually distribute “conservation seed.” And that’s based on 4 different local chapters in the region. Small sample size, and maybe I didn’t make the special list.

Mobile chapter would get it every year and coordinate how much to order, delivery and pickup. Let them know how much you wanted and you’d get on the list. If NWTF had the surplus to fulfill the full order, everyone got what the wanted qty wise. Sometimes they did and sometimes they didn’t. If the order came in short, you’d get a prorated portion of the qty you’d ordered. It would come in on on trailers to a local feedstore we’d coordinated with and you’d have a week to pick it up. Corn in spring and wheat in the fall. We did it for about 10 yrs this way when I was living there
