So, what's wrong with just dumping p gravel in the shallow end? I was going to rent a dump trailer and back up to the edge and just spread it out. Will this not work? Yes it will work fine

So, what's wrong with just dumping p gravel in the shallow end? I was going to rent a dump trailer and back up to the edge and just spread it out. Will this not work? We have a very silty bottom. I believe overtime the pea gravel will sink into the mud in our pond.
