I was gifted a Magneto Speed chronograph so I tried it out with a 5 shot string with the 130s. If this thing is correct I’m not far off of Barnes listed velocity for 51.2gr of TAC. Their info stated 3246fps. This is what the 5 shot average was. Highest was 3280 and lowest was 3253. It also said something about the SD being 11 and ES being 27. Not sure what that means. My main concern was the all hit on or right next to the head of that 1/2” carriage bolt holding my steel at 200yds.

Its speaking to you in the language of statistics. SD is Standard Deviation. Think of that as the "average" variance from shot to shot. ES is Extreme Spread. That is the numerical difference between the highest and lowest values in your data set.

SD is a measure of data spread. Simple illustration of it is the average of 0 and 100 is 50. Also the average of 49 and 51 is 50. The SD of 49 and 51 data set is WAY smaller than the SD of 0 and 100.
The smaller the SD, the tighter the spread of data points. When looking at chronoed shots, you want SD to be low. Usually the lower the SD is the more consistent the ammo. A SD of 11 on a 5 shot string is pretty good velocity consistency in my book.

Hopefully now the OP is a bonafide, certified, card-toting ALdeer statistician. And I agree, 11 FPS on a 5 shot sting is plenty tight.

That’s very consistent and really cooking from a 308 I’m using Varget on the 130’s but not max load and am averaging just over 3000fps If it’s dialed it like that at 200yds the go with what you got
