In today's world, especially on Aldeer, people don't have a lot of love for federal LE, but I've worked with all of them and I'll say this, the US Marshalls are truly the good guys. They track down fugitives and deal with the baddest of the bad on a daily basis. They are also the best in the World at what they do, including tracking someone down. They train and used local LE to assist them by forming task forces. It is my understanding that the officers killed were part of one of the local officers with one of the task forces. Prayers to all involved.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The officers were part of a US Marshals Service-led task force. The warrant they were attempting to serve on Monday was against a felon wanted for illegally possessing a firearm.

The suspect is 39 year old black dude named Terry Clark Hughes Jr.
The warrant was felon in possession of firearm. hmmm. Another investigation is actually going on. This incident is just part of it. US Marshalls are not going to bring that many folks just to pop a guy who has a commonly issued single warrant.
