First morning in May started off slow, finally had one answer some soft callin at 7:30 across a blacktop on the neighbors made a couple moves he went quiet. 20 minutes I hear spitting drumming he’s right over my shoulder then he’s gone.
I get in the truck drive out gate he’s strutting across the road 40 yards behind the neighbors gate.
I set up at a tee in some pines where ones been on cam strutting mid day and late afternoon. I sit down at 12:00 soft clucks a hen comes in feeds around eases off I cluck couple more times she comes back dragging a strutting long beard to 35 yards # 2 dead at 12:28. He never gobbled
