Big county with a lot of public land. A lot of out of state hunters also. TN opening 2 weeks later puts a ton of pressure being on the state line.

It’s a huge county. It has more land area than most other counties, and a lot of it is suitable Turkey habitat. If you iron all the hills out it's probably the biggest in surface area square miles.

What 2dogs said . Great habitat , lots of woods between fields . Lots of water sources, creeks , Tennessee River , ponds etc . I live on Sand Mtn . I’ve seen more birds than I can ever remember in places we never saw turkeys 3-5 years ago .
