AlphaBuck101 OP spike A Joined: Apr 2022 Posts: 34 , AL	The last 2 years I have used a meadow creek mount on an 1187 youth 20. After a spell of 3 misses in 12 days I’ve decided to ditch it and go back to the old faithful bead. I just have trouble finding the dot and settling in on those quick shots considering how far it is from your eye. If the turkey walks in right down your gun barrel to 25 yds then yeah it’s fine but more often than not thats not the case, for me any way. Anybody else had this issue?

If you are shooting tss and a super tight choke, open it up and keep your shots inside 45 yards. I had problems one year and missed 4 turkeys. Went from a .555 to a .587 and increased my percentages of success drastically.

N2TRKYS Booner N Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 14,631 Tuscaloosa Co.	Get it drill and tapped. I d/t my 1187 and 870 and put a Burris Fastfire mount on them. I use a Vortex Venom red dot and love it. Having it on the vent rib seems crazy to me. 83% of all statistics are made up.

Buckshot77 4 point B Joined: Sep 2022 Posts: 369 The Flatwoods	I like the speed bead mount. it is a little flimsy the way it comes, so I bedded it to the stock and receiver. I first had my receiver drilled and tapped and used a marlin 336 base, but it was still a little higher than I wanted. The beauty of the speed bead mount is if the sight ever fails, it's low enough to use the factory bead through it.

With the meadow creek mount it feels more like a bead. It was on the gun when I bought it, it’s solid as Can be.
