For the past several years I have hunted almost exclusively public land, I have all but given up on cahaba wma and devoted a lot of my time and boot leather to the National Forest. This year, I have had a particularly delightful affair with the Forest, and the turkey gods blessed me with an opprotunity to tag out for my efforts. If not for making a few mistakes, It might have happend. But, I am extremely grateful and humbled by the opportunities and experiences I was able to witness and enjoy, I feel blessed to have taken 4 gobblers.

Awesome season. 4 birds off public land is quite a feat. Congrats!

Congrats on a great bird and a great season. I'm pretty sure I know your jeep and where you hunted a lot this year. Quite a few birds killed in there this year. We'll have to have a cup of coffee after a hunt sometime.
